19/10/2014 - "As long as Universities provide Degree certificates and students are happy to receive it, we cannot worry about students not becoming employable. True employability and sustainability is when students focus on development of skills and improving knowledge and not just clearing exam papers prescribed by Universities.
Despite having the largest working population and lowest wages, we are still fighting the menace of talent crunch on one side and unemployment and poverty on other side !
India has to travel a long way in the Skill development of the youth. And the youth of the country should start thinking beyond just doing "courses" and think of improving their skillsets."
18/10/2014 - "Sometimes, people who are far away are more valued than people who are near. We look forward to such "distant relatives/friends" more than "local relatives/friends".
Is it because familiarity breeds contempt or
Because , distance increases respect ?"
17/10/2014 - "Having interacted with many experienced IT professionals , I see that most of them become redundant with super specialisations and domain specialisations. In many cases, the so-called highly paid IT guys possess only specific skill sets and expertise which is needed only by a competitor co. And if your company do not have competition, your career is somewhat stuck!
Today I met some IT guys in their 30s who had bald head, looked really tired and their eyes were almost swollen.. May be a few even have BP and other stress disorder! They wanted a new job badly, but they know only what they know..nothing beyond..! I wouldn't blame the MNC system oriented assembly unit kind of job, where each person do not know all about what he is making actually. I would blame the individual for not taking time for skill development.
The Solution- Get multiple skillsets. Invest on improving ur skill base while the sun shines !
Have a back up profession if possible.

15/10/2014 - "To have something and to give is different from not having something and still trying to give. The second is more soul touching.
Let's help our fellow beings in the best possible way."
14/10/2014 - "Every morning brings two options
To wake up and pursue our dreams
Or
To sleep and pursue our dreams
What's your choice ?"
13/10/2014 - "When things are good, we feel great
When things are bad , we feel worst
It needs great courage to feel great when things are worst ! "
12/10/2014 - "All human beings are good when taken individually . Its relationships that brings the best and worst out of all of us !"
11/10/2014 - "Prepare for the worse, You will never feel bad ! "

17/ 6/2014 - " My mother was born on this day. -June 17. Though, she is no more with me, I remember this day more than the day she left the world.
She always enjoyed celebrating her Birthday and used to tell me that its a special day, coz everything that we are started with our birth. If it was some other day, we could have born different. And she is the one who told me that a woman's birthday should be celebrated equally. Over Thirty years back she started her tryst with the society for her rights and for empowerment. She used to drive an MUV to the amaze of all people in our vicinity and she had a short haircut and wore lipsticks to the amaze of my family and relatives. She used to walk faster with her head held high and told me to be so always. She told me to dream big and never to stop dreaming. 20 yrs back, she dreamt of visiting the U.S. and she achieved it by her own effort. Not just that, she spent all the earned money for taking her family for a visit abroad (even when others told her to save the money for her daughters' marriage)
Now I realise, how much she was ahead of her times and how much struggle she had to face!
You were too young to leave the world. But, before you left, you have shown a path for me to follow.
Happy Birthday Amma .."
