There is a marked difference between someone who thinks of making some quick bucks out of investing in a business and someone who puts his /her breath into an idea or concept . We call the later as an Entrepreneur.
Especially in education business , it becomes a deterrent when such a greedy investor/partner comes in . Education is a slow business and we need enough patience and willpower to handle the ups and downs. I remember a conversation with an uneducated but rich business man who wanted to invest in setting up an educational institution because he thought it will break even in the first year itself. He even told me that we can take donations from the parents and invest that for the infrastructure . I also hear of other investment stories where the edupreneur have left the business coz of investor issues. And also stories of entrepreneurs / founders being evicted because of over expectations of investors.
Entrepreneurship is a tough journey and along with determination we also need strong ethical values and a sense of purpose.
People love to do business with people who love to do business!
