Whenever some academicians meet
up, they talk about the deteriorating quality of education, lack of interests
from student’s side and the difficulty in managing the new generation media.
Whereas, whenever some
industrialists meet up, they talk about the lack of “practical” knowledge from
the fresh graduates, improper training and lack of soft skills. I don’t think ,
there is one industrialist who has not used this dialogue , “all the theory
which you learnt from text is waste.. We need to be practical..this is industry!”
So, what exactly is education?...A difficult question !
Is success and educational
qualification connected?...A very difficult question !!
On one side, there are lots of
highly successful people who have NOT attained higher qualification and in some
cases are even school drop outs. And on the other side, we see
that higher qualifications leading to higher positions in life and those
without necessary education still leading a mediocre life.
Which is good? Which is right?
Should we obtain a higher education or should we do without ?
My logic for arriving at an answer to this is :- Not all
people who are highly successful are school dropouts … and not all unsuccessful
people are qualified!
So, the only generalization that
can be made is this :-
Majority of qualified people are
successful
Majority of the unqualified
people are unsuccessful
All the remaining are just
exceptions!!!
(At least this is what the statistics says...)
Even a person without a higher educational degree can be "educated" and even a person with the highest educational degree can be "uneducated" !
Infact, according to me all of us are "ignorant" and "uneducated" at all times... no one can be fully educated ... because , if we know about 100 things .. we may yet not know 10000 things!
But unfortunately, most of us don't realise this and think that we "know" everything and we are "educated" !!
Keep on learning and Keep on educating yourself for greater success !
